Ralf has always enjoyed being on the move. Sitting still at school and doing homework? He preferred to look over his mum’s shoulder in the kitchen and was soon swinging the wooden spoon himself. After leaving school, Ralf first completed a cookery apprenticeship. But that wasn’t enough for him. He moved on to the hotel industry, where he learnt the commercial background of the catering trade from scratch as a food & beverage trainee. In the process, he discovered his knack for sales and went on to train as a marketing specialist.
Ralf quickly learnt about the challenges and demands of customers in his day-to-day work at the agency. With this diverse knowledge and his accumulated experience, he founded the premium catering company “Der Blaue Hummer” together with two business partners in 1999. This quickly became the leading address in northern Germany for high-quality food creations and made a name for itself in the field of media, design and fashion events.
In 2013, he moved to Berlin, where he organised state-of-the-art events for a wide range of clients from Karl-Marx-Allee. Since April 2016, Ralf has dedicated himself to a new generation of caterers and clients as a consultant and event consultant. When he met Wild & Wiese, the creative and culinary collaboration was quickly sealed.
At Wild & Wiese, Ralf is also known as the “customer whisperer”. He almost always knows what his counterpart will like even before it is said. His own favourite dish? Spätzle with beef roulades and lots of sauce!
